The Department of Sociology (https://sociology.indiana.edu/index.html) at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2025. We seek an individual with expertise in the area of medical sociology and sociology of health broadly defined and is committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The applicant’s expertise might include, but is not limited to, areas such as healthcare inequality, the sociology of illness and disease, mental health, the study of the medical profession and allied healthcare professions, healthcare services, social networks and well-being, ageing, and health policy.
