The Department of Sociology and Council on African Studies at Yale University are looking to hire a full-time tenure-track assistant professor primarily appointed to the sociology department with an appointment beginning July 1, 2025.

We would expect the successful candidate to have a research agenda and teach courses in sociology with an empirical, theoretical, or comparative focus on Africa as well as maintain an active affiliation with the Council on African Studies.
