Assistant, Associate or Full Professor

The Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a tenure-track position at the advanced assistant professor or the associate rank in the field of demography/population research beginning in August 2025. In exceptional cases, we would also entertain applications for those early in the rank of Professor.

The successful candidate will have a primary appointment and tenure home in the Department of Sociology, will teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, engage in scholarly research, and participate in University and professional service.

Applicants must hold a PhD in sociology or a similar field. Research specialization within demography is open. The ideal candidate will have a funding track record with NICHD, NIA, or both.
